JSON Viewer

Your data stays private. JSON is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to our servers.

How to Use JSON Viewer

  1. 01

    Paste or upload

Drop a .json file or paste text into the editor. The file is read on your device only.

  2. 02

    View the tree

Use View JSON to inspect nested objects and arrays. Expand or collapse nodes as needed.

  3. 03

    Format, minify, or copy

Pretty-print for reading, minify for compact payloads, then copy or download the result.

What Is JSON?

JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) is a structured text format used for APIs, configuration, and data interchange. It represents objects, arrays, strings, numbers, booleans, and null in a format both people and programs can read.

Why Use a JSON Viewer?

Raw JSON is hard to scan when it is minified or deeply nested. A viewer lets you expand only the branches you need, search for a key, and copy a precise path such as data.users[0].name.

Is My JSON Data Private?

Yes. This page does not send your JSON to a server. File uploads are read with the browser File API. If you use this tool with sensitive payloads, you can also disconnect from the network after the page loads.

FAQ

Is this free?
Yes. JSON Viewer is free to use in the browser, with no account required.
Is my JSON uploaded to a server?
No. Parsing, formatting, search, and downloads all happen locally in your browser.
How do I format JSON?
Paste valid JSON and choose Format. The tool parses the data first, then prints it with indentation.
How do I validate JSON?
Choose Validate. If the text is not valid JSON, you will see a clear error and, when possible, a position.
Can I view large JSON files?
Yes for typical API payloads. Very large files may take longer because everything runs on your computer. The tree is built so visible nodes can be windowed as files grow.
